RHRU aims to contribute to the development of quality sexual & reproductive health and HIV care by:
supporting the South African government in the development of new policies that are evidence-based
assisting national, provincial and local government with the implementation of approved policies
improving the knowledge and skills of service providers relating to sexual & reproductive health and HIV
promoting an appropriate research agenda to further inform policy and programmatic interventions
disseminating information, programmes and research to relevant local and international organisations
establishing models of best practice capable of being extended/expanded to other sites
