Medical Officer
Main purpose of the job
To provide medical care and treatment to patients at selected DoH ARV care and treatment sites and to provide technical advice and support such as training, mentoring, referrals, data management and distribution of materials.

Required minimum education and training
• MBBCh
• Minimum 2 years experience in Public Health practicing HIV medicine
• Proficiency in MS Office
Required minimum work experience
• Minimum of 2 years HIV experience
Professional body registration
HPCSA
Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities
Certification in HIV Management. Experience working in a donor funded organisation / NGO or project-based environment. Experience writing donor proposals and protocols. Exceptional organisational and administrative skills together with working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ordered and systematic in approach to tasks. Attention to detail. Pro-active, able to exercise discretion and independent decision-making. Able to prioritize own work load and work towards deadlines. Self motivated, able to work independently and work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Able to speak other African languages.
